Welcome To Dr. Gina Dyda-Schmid Optometrist and Associates
We are confident that we can provide the eye care you need. Below you’ll find some of the key eye care services that our optometric Practice offers.
Thorough Eye Exams are just the beginning…
Comprehensive eye exams for adults and children, co-management of laser vision correction surgery, caring for eye emergencies and so much more. The optometrists in our Practice provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages including treatment for a range of conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye, cataracts and macular degeneration.
Comprehensive Eye Exams
We start with questions regarding your daily life and any symptoms you may be experiencing at home or at work. We also take record of your vision, medications, and overall health.
Pediatric Eye Exams
With so much going on in your child’s life it can be difficult to keep up, but it’s important to make sure they can see the world in front of them as clearly as possible. Children should have their first eye exam around the age of six months.
Our contact lens exams include questions about your lifestyle and the various options available to you. There are a variety of contact lenses on the market that can be changed at different frequencies: daily, weekly, monthly.
Macular Degeneration is the loss of central vision due to damage to the retina. The macula is a part of the retina located on the back layer of the eye that affects the center of the visual field.
This unique treatment is designed to remove any blockages from the meibomian gland and treat dry eye symptoms. In the past, dry eye has primarily been treated with prescription or over-the-counter eye drops, dietary supplements, and punctal plugs (also known as tear duct plugs).
